About IEPF Assist

Independent, procedure-focused assistance for people dealing with unclaimed shares, IEPF claims and shareholder paperwork in India.

Who we are

IEPF Assist is an independent consultancy that helps shareholders, legal heirs, nominees and Non-Resident Indians understand and navigate the procedures involved in recovering unclaimed investments in India. Our main focus is shares and dividends transferred to the Investor Education and Protection Fund (IEPF), together with the shareholder-service problems that so often lie behind them: old paper certificates, lost certificates, mismatched signatures, outdated KYC, and transmission after a shareholder's death.

Many of the people who contact us are senior citizens who invested decades ago, families who have just discovered old certificates, or heirs facing unfamiliar paperwork. Our job is to make the process understandable and to help you prepare it carefully.

How we work

  • Explain before we act

We start by understanding your situation and telling you, in plain language, which route is likely to apply.

  • Organised documentation

We help you prepare documents that are complete and consistent, so that the company or authority has less to question.

  • Clear communication

You are told what is happening, what is pending and who holds the next step.

  • Honest about outcomes

Approval and timing rest with companies, RTAs, depositories and authorities. We do not guarantee outcomes or dates.

What we do not do

  • We are not a government body

We do not represent the IEPF Authority or any regulator, and we have no special access to them.

  • We do not ask for your passwords

Never share demat passwords, OTPs or net-banking credentials with anyone.

  • We do not give legal or tax advice

Where a court order, a legal opinion or tax advice is needed, we will say so and you should consult a qualified professional.

Our approach to accuracy

Investor-service rules change. Each regulatory page on this website shows when it was last reviewed, links to the official source, and carries a review status. We update pages when procedures change, and we say so when a page is awaiting review.
